How Does the BigAtom Transformed Feed Work?

The Transformed Feed is one of the primary and most efficient ways BigAtom sends updated catalog data back to Meta Commerce Manager based on the conditions or logic configured within the platform.

This process works only when your catalog is using a custom feed link and not when the catalog is connected via API integration.

Whenever changes are configured within BigAtom, the system may update the following columns in your catalog feed:

To enable these updates to reflect in Meta, BigAtom requires a mechanism to send the modified data back to the catalog. This is where the Transformed Feed comes in.

BigAtom first ingests your existing catalog feed link into the platform and processes the data exactly as it is.

After processing the feed, BigAtom generates a new feed link.

This new link contains the same data as your original feed with no changes applied initially.

The newly generated feed provides BigAtom with the ability to modify only specific columns based on platform features and rules.

BigAtom may update:

All other catalog attributes (such as title, price, description, brand, etc.) remain exactly the same as your base feed.

The system periodically syncs data from your original feed into the transformed feed every few hours.

Since the transformed feed contains the same product data as your original feed, replacing the feed link in Meta Commerce Manager will not impact your catalog, campaigns, or ads.

The only difference is that BigAtom will now be able to dynamically update the required columns when features are used.
