Why Is My Ad Not Showing in the Overlay Section?

If your ad is not appearing when you click “View Ad List” in the overlay section, there could be several reasons. Below are the most common ones and how to resolve them.

  1. Incorrect Catalog Selected While Creating the Overlay

  2. Ad Was Created Recently

  3. Ad Account Is Not Connected to the Platform


Incorrect Catalog Selected While Creating the Overlay

The platform displays ads based on the Catalog ID selected during overlay creation.

  • If the overlay is created using Catalog ID – X

  • But the ad is created using Catalog ID – Y

Then only ads associated with Catalog ID – X will appear in the list.

Solution: Create the overlay using the same catalog that was used to create the ad.


Ad Was Created Recently

If the ad was created very recently, it may not appear immediately. The platform can take up to 4 hours to back-pull data from Meta Ads.

Example: If an ad is created at 10:00 AM, it should appear in the platform on or before 2:00 PM.

Solution: Wait up to 4 hours and refresh the ad list.


Ad Account Is Not Connected to the Platform

If the ad account where the ad was created is not connected, the system will not be able to fetch the ad details.

Solution: Ensure the correct ad account is properly connected and synced with the platform.
