With the Overlay Editor, you can now create overlay templates that automatically adapt to each product, helping you design eye-catching, performance-driven catalog creatives for Meta.

Your creatives now automatically update with product data — giving every ad a dynamic, personalized touch that boosts engagement and clicks.
How to Create Overlays
Here’s a step-by-step guide to get started:
Go to:
Sidebar → Catalog Template → Create New OverlaySet Up Your Template:
Give your overlay template a name (a template can contain multiple overlay variants).
Select the catalog and feed you want to use.
Choose how you want to apply the overlay:
Entire Catalog: Overlay applies to the primary image in your Meta catalog.
Specific Ads: Overlay applies to additional images in your Meta catalog.
Filter Products (Optional):
If you want your overlay to apply only to certain products, click on Filter Products.
For example:
Product Type contains Festive Collection→ applies overlay only to your festive collection.
Continue to Overlay Editor:
Click Continue to Overlay Editor to enter the design canvas.
Here, you can add and customize:
Frames, shapes, custom text, and images
Dynamic attributes (product name, price, sale price, brand, etc.)
Layout, colors, fonts, and more
Preview Your Creative:
Click Preview (top-right corner) to see how the overlay appears in actual creatives.
You can also check how a specific product looks — just enter the product ID and hit Enter.
Note: Previews show all products, regardless of filters applied.
Save and Manage Variants:
Once satisfied, click Next to save your overlay variant.
To create additional variants, click Create New Overlay Variant and repeat the steps.
If multiple variants overlap for the same product, assign priority levels — higher priority variants will be applied first.
