BigAtom Creative Automations – Ad Level Settings Checklist

Updated over 2 weeks ago

BigAtom Creative Automations allow you to transform standard catalog ads into custom-looking creatives with high design flexibility.

When creative automation is made live:

  • The system generates a new image for each product in bulk

  • The newly generated image is pushed as an additional image to your catalog

  • Meta then uses this image for ad delivery (if configured correctly)

To ensure Meta Ads picks the correct image generated by BigAtom, review the following ad-level settings.

Required Ad-Level Settings

1) Turn Off Dynamic Media

Keep the Dynamic Media option turned off.

If enabled:

  • Meta may automatically choose any image from your catalog

  • It may display the base image instead of the BigAtom-generated creative

  • It can cause inconsistency in ad previews and live delivery

2) Turn Off “Show as Collection”

Under Format Display Options at the ad level: Ensure “Show as Collection” is disabled.

If enabled:

  • It may override creative logic

  • It can create conflicts in image selection

3) Turn Off “Image Touch-Ups”

If Image Touch-Ups (a media enhancement setting) is enabled:

  • Meta may automatically add padding

  • It may adjust image framing

  • Non 1:1 images may be modified unexpectedly

This can distort the final creative automation output.

4) Disable Other Media Enhancements

Meta provides multiple automatic media enhancement options that may:

  • Modify image appearance

  • Adjust brightness, cropping, or framing

  • Override intended creative formatting

To ensure your creative automation displays exactly as designed, disable all media enhancements at the ad level.

Final Checklist Before Going Live

✔ Dynamic Media turned off
✔ “Show as Collection” disabled
✔ Image Touch-Ups disabled
✔ All other media enhancements disabled

Reviewing these settings helps avoid discrepancies between:

  • Ad preview

  • Live ads

  • Intended creative automation output
