Step 1: Log in to Google Merchant Center

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to Google Merchant Center.

  2. Log in with the account credentials associated with your Merchant Center account.

Step 2: Navigate to the Feeds Section

  1. In the top bar, click on Settings.

  2. Select "Data Sources".

  3. You will now see a list of all feeds, including primary and supplemental feeds.

Step 3: Review the Attribute Rules (if applicable)

Before deleting the supplemental feed, ensure that any attribute rules associated with it are reviewed and removed if necessary:

  1. Click on the primary feed which is being impacted by that supplemental feed.

  2. In the feed details page, look for the Attribute Rules section.

  3. Review all custom rules applied through the feed. If any rules no longer apply:

    • Click the pencil (edit) icon next to the rule.

    • Remove the specific attribute rule by clearing the configuration or mapping.

    • Click Save to apply the changes.

Step 4: Delete the Supplemental Feed

Once you’ve removed or updated the attribute rules, proceed to delete the supplemental feed:

  1. Return to the Feeds section by navigating through Products > Feeds.

  2. Locate the supplemental feed you want to delete in the list.

  3. Click the bin (delete) icon next to the supplemental feed.

  4. A confirmation popup will appear. Review the message to ensure you are deleting the correct feed.

  5. Confirm the deletion by clicking Delete in the popup.

Step 5: Verify the Feed Deletion

  1. After deletion, ensure the feed no longer appears in the Feeds list.

  2. Verify that no unintended changes have occurred in your product data by checking the Products section.

Additional Notes

  • Deleting a supplemental feed does not delete products from your catalog, but any data provided by that feed will no longer apply to your listings.

  • Ensure that any data previously supplied by the supplemental feed is correctly managed by your primary feed or alternative sources.

By following these steps, you can safely delete attribute rules and supplemental feeds from your Google Merchant Center account.
