Exclude Poor Performers from an Existing Product Set Created in Meta Commerce Manager

Use this strategy when the original product set is created directly in Meta Commerce Manager, and you want to exclude poor-performing products using logic built within the platform.

Updated over a week ago

Step 1: Create an Exclusion Product Set in the Platform

Create a new product set in the platform with the required attribute and/or metric conditions to populate the products that need to be excluded from the existing Commerce Manager product set.

Step 2: Enable Product Set Identification

After creating the set, in the Product Set tab, add a column:

  • Select “Product Set Type” if the product set is created using Custom Labels, or

  • Select “Product Set Label” if the product set is created using Internal Labels, based on your configuration.

Step 3: Copy the Product Set Value

Locate the newly created product set and copy the value shown under the added column.

This value will be used to identify the products for exclusion.

Step 4: Open Product Set in Commerce Manager

Navigate to Meta Commerce Manager and open the existing product set where you want to apply the exclusions.

Step 5: Apply Exclusion Filter

Click on “Edit Set” and add a filter with the following configuration:

  • Attribute: Custom Label or Internal Label

  • Operator: Not Contains

  • Value: Paste the value copied from the platform

This filter will exclude all products populated in the platform-created product set from the existing Commerce Manager product set.
